Do you make both modern and traditional kitchens?
Yes. All of our kitchens are built by master craftsmen, so we can design and craft a kitchen to suit your taste exactly – from traditional to ultra modern, from themed to quirky!

Are you able to build a kitchen from my own design?
Yes, absolutely. We’d simply produce a scaled version from your drawings, and double check measurements.

Do you use CAD to produce your designs?
Yes, but not the standard package used by DIY stores. We’ve recently invested in a cutting-edge system that provides very accurate drawings but with a hand drawn appearance, in keeping with our own ideals. The system allows us to make amendments instantly and turn quotes around more quickly.

How long is your lead-time, from first enquiry to completed kitchen?
On average 12 weeks; slightly longer during peak time, i.e., up to 16 weeks.

Will you remove my old kitchen, before work commences on the new design?
Yes we will. We offer a very personal service and aim to make the whole process as hassle-free as possible. However, we’re not able to remove fridges.

Can you also recommend and fit appliances, fixtures, etc?
Yes. We can advise on all aspects of your kitchen design, including cupboard furniture, work surfaces, sinks, appliances, flooring, tiling, lighting, etc. We can then fit/install, using our own professional tradesmen, to ensure continuity and speedy completion.

How much does the average kitchen cost?
That’s difficult to say. It very much depends on the size of your kitchen, your choice of work surface, appliances, etc. A handmade kitchen with quality appliances and a granite work surface will start in the regional of £15,000.

Do you have a showroom?
Yes, we have a showroom and offices in a converted barn in picturesque Ower, just outside the New Forest; close to the M27/M3.(see map on contact page)

We warmly welcome visitors and are happy to show you our workshops, as well as our showroom, which are located on the same site.
Our opening hours are 8am to 5:30pm during the week, Saturdays and other times by appointment.

Stone Worktop FAQs

No, a sketch will do, as long as it gives the dimensions and details of any cut-outs you want.  Send it or fax it to us and we will send your quote by return (usually same day)

Can I visit your factory to choose the stone I want?

Yes, in fact we recommend that you come and see the material as they do vary from block to block.  We are open Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm. and will be happy to provide you with a sample to take away.

Will you visit us to make templates?

Yes we will, once all your units are in place.  We will then return, 7 days later to install.

What needs to have been done before you template?

It is very important that all the units are in place,level and secured to the walls.  We also need you to have any bowls or hobs on site (or in place for undermounted sinks).

Can we plaster the walls after you have templated?
No - this needs to be done before templating.  Tiling should be done after the worktop has been installed.

Do I need to be there when you template and install?

It is best if you are there when we template to answer any questions we might have.  The same goes for fitting, so that you can confirm that you are happy with the finished product.

If I am just replacing my existing worktops, do they have to be removed before you template?
Yes please, we need to template directly on top of the units so please have them loosened or removed.  You can put them back after we have templated until we fit the new ones.  Likewise, sinks, taps and hobs should all be disconnected before our templater arrives.

What is the best thickness for worktops?
For kitchen worktops we recommend 30mm.  Some people choose to have 20 + 20mm to give the appearance of 40mm along the edge.  This method will need you to fit an extra 20mm MDF sub-base on top of your units and will work out more expensive than 30mm. For bathrooms, 20mm will normally suffice.

To enable us to template your granite worktops the following conditions must be adhered to-  

Existing worktops must have been removed: Sinks and hobs must have been removed: All base units must be fixed in their final position and must be perfectly level:

New appliances - sinks, hobs, taps, etc must be available for the templater to check:

Please note cut out dimensions will not necessarily provide enough information for accurate positioning.

Heavy range cookers ie - Aga, Rayburn, Stanley must be fixed in their final position prior to templating. There can be no exceptions to this rule. All other range cookers will preferably be fitted in position. If this is not possible you must provide accurate overall width, height, and depth dimensions.

Any information not available to the templater at the time will in most cases delay the manufacturing of your new worktops.

We will call you a day or two prior to templating to make sure everything is ready for us, and to confirm what time we will be with you (usually a.m.).

Your templater will provide you with all the information you may require about your worktops and also answer any questions you may have regarding installation and after care of your stone

We aim to install your stone one week after templating in normal circumstances.
